Website Design for Camelback Events is Better Than Water

The team at Camelback Events – located in Scottsdale, Arizona – had proven their ability to put on the best bar crawls, day parties and festivals, and were in need of a fresh look for their website design that was fun, exciting and also inviting.

Startup Consulting:

  1. Event Categories:  The company had a wide range of events, and in order to create an easy to process experience for the website’s visitors, the company needed to create “bucket” for the categories, making sure that every event would fall into it.  This not only allowed for a better website experience on the homepage, but also helped when setting up the filtering on the All Events page.
  2. Eventbrite:  The Camelback team had typically hosted all of their events on Eventbrite.com.  While this is a viable strategy, they needed more flexibility into the future, so Startup Street devised a plan to allow for website hosting of the event, website hosting with the Eventbrite information embedded, and then the usual link out to Eventbrite.
  3. Monetization:  Ticket sales from events are also a primary revenue stream, but Camelback was leaving money on the table.  Startup Street created a plan to get sponsorships, birthday parties and fundraisers front and center, letting the audience know of these options.

Website Design Branding for Camelback Events

The website design was focused on creating a fun, energetic experience, featuring pictures of guests from their events, and tying the camelback mountain silhouette into the design without coming across as overbearing or cheesy.

Startup Street took various videos from social media and blended them together to create a dynamic, video slider intro that sits at the top of the website.  This video slider really adds to the excitement that Camelback Events brings to the table.

The All Events page was set up in a grid format, allowing users to filter by event type and/or date, and a calendar was established to sync with the events.

Branding and Logo Design

The Camelback Events logo was developed to incorporate the C and the E, while staggering them in a fashion that is similar to the “double hump” of camelback mountain.  This logo not only came out looking clean and modern, but also features a direct tie in to the Scottsdale culture and camelback mountain itself.

CONCLUSION

The website design for Camelback Events came out amazing, and provides the team the opportunity to edit and add events as needed, with multiple options depending on the event specifics.  We look forward to working with the team into the future, and hopefully we can enjoy the events in Arizona ourselves someday!
