Healthcare Coalition Website Design
How Startup Street Helped ECHCC Streamline Operations and Build a Stunning Website
The Emerald Coast Healthcare Coalition (ECHCC) reached out to Startup Street, in need of both a great looking website along with a team that could help them organize their company on paper, and then further organize their support items in an easy to understand manner for their target audience.
Consulting
Startup Street got to work, first and foremost concerned with the “Resources” – the items that the coalition shares with the surrounding county’s healthcare employees and organizations in order to further education, collaboration and coalition building.
Through a series of exercises, all items were classified into four main categories, each with their own subcategories. A handful of Google Sheets were set up, in order to help the initial organization along with providing a tool for future needs as well.
The rest of the consultation process consisted of methods to organize photos, how to incorporate a calendar into not just the website but the organization as a whole, and the usual items such as FAQ development, About and Services pages, and more.
Website Design
The key elements of the website design process for the Emerald Coast Healthcare Coalition website can best be broken down into three key elements; Resources Organization and Filtering, Members Only Access and an Online Calendar.
Resources
Once the main categories, subcategories and tags for the resources were established, and all documents, PDFs and information was organized and tagged properly, it was time to get it all live on the website. Startup Street a basic filtering option for the Resources page, allowing users to select what they were looking with ease.
Members only
A key goal of the website design was to provide “Members Only” access to specific resources. To achieve this, Startup Street implemented a secure, intuitive login feature that restricts certain documents to authorized users. This solution not only safeguards sensitive information but also encourages more signups by highlighting the value of membership.
The application process to become a member was installed on the website, while making sure that “Member Approval” was reserved for the ECHCC team only, to be handled on a case by case basis, in order to assure proper vetting of all potential members.
Calendar
Installing the Calendar Pro plugin allows a healthcare coalition to efficiently manage and showcase upcoming trainings, exercises, and events in a centralized, user-friendly calendar. This tool can help keep members informed, increase event engagement, and streamline the registration process—all while enhancing the overall user experience and strengthening the ECHCC’s communication and outreach efforts
The Brand
The ECHCC did not approach Startup Street with any kind of definitive branding in place, so it was up to the both parties to work together in a collaborative effort to create one from scratch. After initial research and graphics/mockups, a clean, bright look was required, incorporating some design elements that keep the brand warm and inviting as opposed to harsh and sterile. Overall the design of the website is right on par with what the ECHCC wanted along with the type of vibe that their end users – healthcare organizations, employees and vendors – are use to seeing.
The healthcare coalition website design for the ECHCC came out fantastic, featuring multiple layers of resource viewing, a members only access element, online event calendars and more.
