FloridaOne Website and Logo Redesign Case Study

Founded in 1989, FloridaOne began as one of the nation’s first Disaster Medical Assistance Teams and has since grown into a nonprofit focused on disaster response, training, and mental health support for communities and first responders.

They were in need of a website and logo redesign that:

  • Modernized the brand and organization
  • Created a more streamlined and professional approach to recruitment
  • Organized the information into a cohesive, easy-to-understand digital footprint

Allison needed a partner to help get this concept off the ground.  A group that was familiar with launching new companies, branding and able to consult on the finer details of how to structure the company.

Florida One – featuring core responsibilities that are complex, along with the management of 4 other organizations that each fill a unique role – needed a partner that was able to breakdown all of the information, organize it, create a streamlined document and roadmap, and then build out the website accordingly.

The website as a whole is professional, well-organized, mobile friendly and serves as the centralized hub for all recruiting and/or events for Florida One.

Branding & Logo Design

Florida One needed a logo that was a bold yet simple logo redesign of their previous logo.  The new logo is based on the common “patch” concept found in many disaster response organizations, with the state of Florida silhouette serving as a negative space inside the “star of life”.  

The logo is classic yet unique, tying in the Florida-based mission through clever design while clearly representing the larger mission of first responder organizations.
